Today we begin five days of reporting from Somaliland, an autonomous region in the north of Somalia, which has been suffering from a debilitating drought. Most people in Somaliland raise livestock but now they have nothing: thousands of goats, sheep, cows and camels have died, leaving people there with no way to feed their children. RFI's Laura Angela Bagnetto visited a village in rural Somaliland, hours from the capital Hargesia, to find out how one school headmaster there has been looking after people's children.
That report was produced with the support of the Save the Children charity.
