In the past few months, thousands of refugees and migrants have settled in a camp in the northern French town of Grande-Synthe, located near Dunkirk. RFI's Brenna Daldorph met one in particular, Bryar, a young man from Kurdistan, who described his life and sang a little bit of "Adele", too. As in nearby Calais, the people living in this camp are hoping to secure passage across the channel, into the UK. But the living conditions in this camp have been described as some of the worst in the world by humanitarian group, Médecins Sans Frontières. Most of the migrants coming to Europe are young, unmarried men looking to build better lives. RFI's reporter Brenna Daldorph visited Grande-Synthe and sat down with some of these young men to find out more about their individual stories, which included tears, laughs and sometimes a little singing, too.
